State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the investment management arm of State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), announced today that it has been named this year's top performer in the Euro Equities category at the IPE-EDHEC Institutional Asset Management Awards (IAMA).

SSgA garnered top honours for its strong performance managing European equity strategies. SSgA was cited for its investment insight and use of advanced technology to identify, capture and utilize investment opportunities in equity markets.

In partnership with Investment & Pensions Europe, a leading monthly magazine written for those responsible for running pension funds in Europe and EDHEC, France's premier business school, this inaugural award highlights the best European asset management companies through state-of-the-art financial research to reward asset managers on an objective basis.
